Truth. Self Sacrifice. Friendship.
The Purpose of Delta Delta Delta shall be to establish a perpetual bond of friendship among it's members, to develop stronger and more womanly characters, to broaden the moral and intellectual life, and to assist its members in every possible way.
Each day, the members of Epsilon Iota strive to live out this purpose wherever we go. Whether it's in the classroom or in outside pursuits, Deltas value strength of character and the desire for personal growth. Within Tri Delta, we find unconditional love, unswerving support, and unforgettable experiences. But we don't intend to keep the fun and friendship to ourselves—we always look forward to welcoming new women into our sisterhood! Delta Delta Delta at Allegheny College is a unique group of strong, passionate ladies, dedicated to serving our campus, community and, most importantly, each other.

Letter from the President![]() In the years that I have been at Allegheny, I have had the privilege to see Tri Delta grow from a new chapter to an established chapter, recognized by Executive Office as one of the best new chapters across the nation. This year, I am honored to serve Epsilon Iota Chapter as its president and witness the strong bonds of sisterhood that exist between our members.
When I first joined Tri Delta, I was nervous that I would not fit in. How could such a large group become so close and claim that they shared a sisterly bond? To me, it seemed too good to be true. However, as I became more involved in the organization, I found that I was, happily, wrong. The feeling of sisterhood that I sensed in the women around me was real and was something that I found myself slowly embracing. Now, three years later, I would not trade my Tri Delta experience for the world. I know that in my sisters I have found a bond that will stand the test of time and be there to support me whenever I need it. In past years, Epsilon Iota has accomplished some impressive feats. We have won Greek Sing in 2009, Greek Week in 2011, SAMS in 2011 and 2013, and have consistently won Greek Life's award for the Most Philanthropic Chapter on campus. More than winning awards, Tri Delta has raised more money for our philanthropy, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, than any other group on campus has raised for another philanthropy. Our passion for St. Jude and the amazing work that they do for children helps to drive us through our annual Pancake Breakfast and our "Sincerely Yours" letter writing campaign. It has even motivated some of our sisters to run a half-marathon this year to raise money for the hospital! Our commitment to St. Jude demonstrates the commitment that Tri Deltas' bring to all aspects of their lives. Looking back on my college years, I can honestly say without hesitation that Tri Delta has given me the most rewarding experience of my life to this point. I know that the bonds that we form as sisters here will last long past when we graduate. You are welcome to explore the website and check out the sisters of Tri Delta and the amazing work that they accomplish. 7/5/12![]() Epsilon Iota was honored to be the recipient of two notable awards last year at the Tri Delta 2012 Convention held in Tucson, Arizona. We were recognized for outstanding recruitment with the honor of the Most Improved Recruitment! Additionally, Epsilon Iota won the Haller Award:
"Established in 1994, in honor of Margaret Paddock Haller, past National President, to recognize chapters who have shown outstanding achievement during the biennium. These attributes consist of having a successful recruitment, well-balanced programming, outstanding academic achievement, strong sisterhood, a commitment to our Purpose & Rituals, financial responsibility, good alumnae relations, strong risk management, good campus and Panhellenic relations and respected on campus." The convention was attended by Jessica Giles (previous VPCD), Emily Farr (previous Academic Chair) and Stephanie Northwood (previous President), pictured above. We could not be more proud of the accomplishments of our chapter and the individual contributions of each member! |
